How to Microwave Already-Cooked Shrimp

Shrimp is a nutritious and versatile food that can be used in numerous dishes, such as quesadillas, pasta or salads, with rice or as a bruschetta topping. Shrimp can be purchased fresh or frozen, cooked or uncooked. If you are using frozen cooked shrimp, then it is better to thaw the shrimp in the refrigerator or submerged in water than to put them in the microwave, since the microwave will further cook the shrimp. However, if you have leftover cooked shrimp or cold cooked shrimp that you would like to serve warm, then utilizing the microwave is an ideal choice.
