Abstract Renewable energies have great potential to contribute to CO2emissions reductions by substituting for fossil fuels. This study examines whether renewable energies with learning-by-doing technical change can compete with forest carbon sequestration to cost-efficiently achieve the EU carbon target for 2050. Cost-efficient abatement solutions are obtained using a dynamic optimisation model that accounts for three kinds of mitigation options: renewable energies and abatement in the forest and fossil fuel sectors. The results show a net present cost of reaching the target of approximately 225 billion Euros and a carbon price of 306 Euro/ton CO2in 2050. Furthermore, the stock of renewables in 2050 can deliver almost twice as much as the current electricity production from renewables, which implies a contribution of 8.2% to meeting the emissions target. However, the average cost per unit emissions reduction is more than twice as high for renewables as for forest carbon sequestration. Hence, the results indicate that renewables are unable to compete with forest carbon sequestration unless they receive continued government support. Keywords

Melalui peranan kurikulum semata - mata sangatlah sukar untuk melahirkan insan yang mempunyai keseimbangan yang sempurna, berkepimpinan, berketerampilan dan berdaya saing. Menerusi program atau kursus kokurikulum, pelajar akan dapat meningkatkan kemahiran mereka seperti kemahiran komunikasi, kepimpinan, keusahawanan dan seterusnya memiliki kriteria yang diperlukan oleh majikan. Justeru itu, hasil dari kupasan literatur menunjukkan kemahiran insaniah adalah menjadi keperluan bagi graduan dan kokurikulum merupakan satu platform serta mempunyai pertalian yang rapat dalam pembentukkan kemahiran insaniah.

The Technology of Wood and Plastic international degree programme provides specialisation either in woodwork or plastic technology. Teaching is organised into modules combining lectures, seminars and laboratory work in the recently renovated laboratory of Polymer Physics and Technology, which is equipped with state-of-the-art devices. The programme also emphasises the basic practical knowledge of CAD-engineering programmes and CAM-manufacturing technologies as they are extremely important in every industrial sector all over the world. The curriculum gives students the unique opportunity to implement their individual research projects in collaboration with various companies.

Skills in CAD/CAM engineering work in connection with knowledge about the technological properties of wood-, laminates, plywood, chipboard, medium density fibreboard, plastics, metals, leather, textiles and composite materials that might come in handy for different professions.

LETIH? ya, kadang-kadang aku letih nak meneruskan hidup dan pelajaran ni.. kadang-kadang rasa terpaksa.. rasa macam redha yang telah dipaksa..
aku dah cuba dah ubah tempat belajar, dari bilik Postgrad ke Perpustakaan., situasinya jadi lebih teruk.. LETIH sampai aku mengantuk.. meja perpustakaan jadi sakni aku tertidur,,
bila aku bangun.. aku fikir satu benda.. kenapa aku nak letih.. manusia tak sepatutnya letih kalau buat sesuatu yang dia ikhlas dan untuk menuju kesana..
hahaha,, rupanya..selama ini aku tak pernah ikhlas dalam belajar.. aku belajar hanya untuk dunia.. sedangkan apa yang aku buat di sini, bekalan untuk kesana.. aku bangun dari kerusi dan tinggalkan laptop aku.. aku bergerak ke rak-rak buku..

Welcome to dunia sains dan teknologi kayu untuk adik-adik yang baru mendaftar di UITM Jengka Pahang dalam program Diploma Teknologi Perkayuan. Walaupun aku takda Diploma WoodTech (sebab aku asal matrik sains punyer student) aku masih super senior korang yer..haipppp!!!

Korang kena kenal anatomy kayu, kau ingat senang nak hafal anatomy kayu dengan diberikan satu beg berbagai spesis kayu dan satu kanta kecik..kau duduk dan sentuh la kayu tu..nanti ada exam dengan hanya sentuh dan lihat menggunakan kanta, kau kena ingat nama dan nama saintifik kayu tu...( aku dulu ingat 5 jenis kayu jer..huhu)
Lepas tu kau kena kenal daun-daun kayu..kenal sifat daun..Dendrology nama diberi..
Bila dah advance cikit baru kau belajar menghasilkan papan dari kayu yang orang cakap sisa-sisa dan kayu-kayu kecik. Masa tu baru kau hargai betapa berharganya perabot yang diperbuat dari Particleboard, Medium Density Fiberboard, Oriented Strand Board dan macam – macam lagi la..pelik kan nama tu?..nanti bila dah belajar korang tahu la..bukan senang perabot dihasilkan tanpa adanya penyelidikan..dengan nama lain R n D
kenal tak gambar diatas tu..mesti selama ni ayah-ayah korang jer guna..nanti korang akan guna alat tu..gambar macam kilang tu..tu la kilang kayu..ada tiga semua..tapi taknak la tunjuk semua..nanti tak surpurise..
Nanti korang belajar jenis gam untuk buat perabot..korang mesti ingat selama ni, pakai jer la gam apa pun kan..nanti korang akan tahu yang bukan sebarangan gam boleh guna..tiap gam tu ada kimia dia sendiri..kimia?..yes..that is kimia..anda juga akan belajar kandungan kimia dalam kayu, apa itu cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, extractive..jangan ingat, kayu sekadar kayu, Allah cipta semua benda ada fungsi dia, dan kita kena cari..itu lah kimia kayu!!!

nanti boleh la belajar tebang pokok macam gambar diatas (gambar kenangan masa tebang pokok akasia) dan belajar tengok anatomy kayu, bukan tengok guna kanta jer tau, nanti terus boleh tengok guna komputer..canggih kan..
Bertukang?..yes..korang akan belajar bertukang seperti mana yang selalu diceritakan apabila menyebut perkataan budak kayu..masa ini korang akan rasa berbangga menghasilkan produk hebat..macam gazebo, kerusi sampai la ke pondok, buaian comel pun ada..perasaan bangga akan terselah apabila produk korang ada di perpustakaan..hehe..best!!!..
Korang kena bangga sebagai budak kayu..awak belajar apa yang orang tak belajar, kenal apa yang orang tak kenal..korang kenal hutan, kenal pokok, kenal kayu, kenal mesin..dan InsyaAllah, lagi kenal pencipta itu semua..Allah
