Abstract

This chapter will explore the manufacturing processes involved in the production of fibre-based panel products, primarily medium density fibreboard and hardboard. This chapter will look at the history of the products and the science behind the production of the products. The application and usage of the products will be explored, and the influence of standardisation on the quality and use of the products will be touched upon.
