Abstract: Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) is a mechanism which aims to mitigate the negative effects of climate change, by reducing or avoiding carbon emissions. It is a market tool sourcing money from the international community in order to prevent deforestation or degradation.
