2013 Expedition departs in October

Preparations for the 2013 Expedition are well underway and accelerating towards the departure date at the beginning of October. Sixteen cavers from the UK and Denmark will be in the field for a month, based at Camp 5 in the Melinau Gorge. Objectives are to continue exploration in Whiterock Cave, part of the massive 189km long Clearwater system, and also to investigate new ground at the northern end of the Benarat mountain, including hopefully relocating and pushing Deliverance, a large but little visited cave heading south into Benarat.
