Abstract Observations are reported on carbon black-reinforced thermoplastic elastomer in uniaxial cyclic tensile tests with various maximum strains in the interval of temperatures between 60 and 100 °C. Constitutive equations are derived for the thermo-viscoplastic response of a polymer composite. Adjustable parameters in the stress–strain relations are found by fitting the experimental data. It is shown that the model correctly describes the observations and its parameters are affected by temperature and maximum strain per cycle in a physically plausible way. PACS
