Our research will provide increased understanding and management tools related to native and non-native invasive plants, insects, and diseases. We focus on the factors that cause forests to be invaded, including reasons that native plants become invasive, and risk mapping for invasions. We also study the response of forests to these invasions. Our management tools will help mangers predict and reduce the probability of invasion, and predict, manage and mitigate the impacts once invasions have begun.
