Abstract: High nature value farming system is essential for achieving the EU's biodiversity. It can lead to limiting of negative trends in Europe related to land abandonment, loss of biodiversity and increasing intensification of agricultural production. The role of the CAP for financial support for farms working lands with the high nature value increases. Despite the insufficient funds for support, CAP is a major instrument for rural development and provides a means to compensate the income and overcome the socio-economic and environmental problems in rural areas.
