Abstract: This paper deals with analysis of degradation processes manifestation on the territory of Ukraine as a washout of the soil fertile layer, reduction of organic and mineral fertilizers and short supply balance of humus in the soil. The author has calculated annual losses when using marginal and degraded soils by the main forms of agricultural enterprises, which are not reimbursed by obtained harvest
