Abstract: Regions in the Czech Republic, the same as in most European countries, show in their rural areas a considerable difference rate from points of view demographic, social, economic as well as from point of view of infrastructure. The paper deals with a proposal of a suitable methodological approach of regions comparison at a level NUTS 4. A main aim is to analyze disparities among regions (NUTS 4) within the Královéhradecký region (NUTS 3) in light of agriculture and the situation in rural space. An identification and a subsequent analysis of these differences and a determination of a certain sequence of regions can be beneficial for definition of trouble shooting regions and better support aiming. Pieces of knowledge introduced in this paper resulted from solution of an institutional research intention MSM 6046070906 „Economics of resources of Czech agriculture and their efficient use in frame of multifunctional agri-food systems“ and IGA 200811170021 „Regional development quantify under usage of modern statistical methods“.
