Abstract: Portugal is one of the smallest countries in the EU in terms of population, hence its furniture industry is also considered small. It is the eleventh producer within the Western European countries. Over the last two years, the furniture market in Portugal has been strongly affected by the crisis. In order to face this difficult situation, Portuguese furniture manufacturers have started to emphasize their strategies on design and brand internationalization.
