From the point of view of selection and operationality of a harvesting system, whatever the crop is, the analysis must not be limited to aspects related to machinery or the workforce involved. In the case of sugarcane, the harvesting of raw material which include stalks, “thief” shoots, mineral matter (soil particles, metals) and vegetable matter (green leaves, tops, crop remnants, and weeds). There is also the economic aspect which, due not only to the agricultural production and yield of manufacturable stalks but also to the adequate harvesting system as defined by the agroindustry, will be defined as the harvesting period, resulting in the success of the operation or not.
